The following is a selected list of recently completed Alpha One Access Design Consultations for religious organizations

Trinity Episcopal Church, Portland, Maine

Full accessibility survey and evaluation services for a two-level church structure for the Episcopal Diocese Facilities Committee in Portland. Facility elements evaluated include entrances, worship spaces, lower-level classrooms, a parish hall, and all common and/or support spaces accessed by the congregation [public]. Worked closely with Nancy Barba, Architect on the project in helping her develop sketch plans and design solutions to architectural and communication barriers encountered. A formal visual presentation to the Facilities Committee culminated the project.

Loring House, State Street, Portland, Maine

Full accessibility survey and evaluation services for a multi-level parish/office building used by the Episcopal Diocese of Maine as their administrative offices. The site and building structure is situated in an established National Register Historical District.

First Congregational Church, Yarmouth, Maine

Accessibility survey, evaluation, and plan review services for existing facilities and proposed improvements to church and parish hall spaces. Evaluation and recommendations based on existing Maine Human Rights Act requirements for new construction and additions to church facilities.

Calvary Tabernacle, Water Street, Rockland, Maine

Design consultation for a new ramp to an existing side entrance at the first floor level of the church structure.

North Yarmouth Meeting House, North Yarmouth, Maine

Access design and plan review services for new entrance ramps and accessible restroom facilities at an National Register Listed Property. Due to the historic prominence and siting of the building, temporary ramps were used to provide access to the entry vestibule and worship space inside in order to protect the historical fabric and facade of the structure. All recommendations for barrier removal were coordinated with the State of Maine Historic Preservation Commission.

St. Joseph's Parish Church, Eastport, Maine

Design consultation for a new ramp to the existing front entrance and first floor level of the church structure.

Saco United Methodist Church, Saco, Maine

On-site access design consultation and technical assistance for the removal of architectural barriers at the entrance and first floor level of the church structure.

St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, Portland, Maine

Limited scope evaluation and recommendations for overall accessibility improvements and technical design suggestions specific to restroom improvements.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Falmouth, Maine

Access Design and Construction Documents for new accessible porch steps and ramped entry at the main entrance to the church.
